Conversations picked up between Kentucky and Williams’ camp last week, and he was scheduled to make an announcement last Sunday or Monday. However, it’s now Wednesday, and we still don’t have a decision from Williams, who is deciding between Kentucky, Arkansas, Baylor, and Memphis.
Go Big Blue Country attempted to reach out to Williams’ mentor, Kenny Roy, but contact hasn’t been made since last Friday morning. Two attempts to reach out failed to return messages or a phone call.
According to Kyle Tucker of The Athletic, it seems like Kentucky backed away from Williams in recent days.
We will have to wait for an official announcement, but things have been hushed with Williams and Kentucky the last four to five days, which wasn’t the case the first week of his recruitment.
