Jarred Vanderbilt Wishes he had Been Healthy at Kentucky

Any Kentucky fan can give you at least one “what if” in Kentucky basketball history but there are honestly too many to name.

One of the biggest to me is the health of Jarred Vanderbilt during the 2017-18 season that ended with a loss in the Sweet Sixteen to Kansas State.

Vanderbilt’s Kentucky career was short-lived after injuries forced him to miss all but 14 games during the 2017-18 season. He didn’t make his first appearance until mid-January that season in a game vs. South Carolina in Columbia.

In the 14 games he played, Vanderbilt averaged 5.9 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game. He suffered a set back in practice prior to the SEC Tournament and missed the entire postseason.

Even Vanderbilt wishes he could’ve been healthy for that entire season.
