Rick Pitino has made his return to college basketball and the new head coach at Iona wants to schedule Kentucky, not Louisville.
On the Dan Patrick Show Monday morning, Pitino said he spoke with John Calipari Sunday about scheduling a game between the two programs in the Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden.
I spoke to Cal,” Pitino said. “He was nice enough to call me. I would love to schedule Kentucky in the Garden in the Jimmy V Classic. I think that would be a great draw that would be exciting to see and I hope John would entertain that.”
