The Kentucky Wildcats improved to 23-5 (12-3 SEC) on the season with a 71-66 win vs. LSU at Rupp Arena.
For the second time in as many games, Kentucky was shorthanded in the backcourt, playing without Sahvir Wheeler and TyTy Washington. The backcourt duo is recovering from injuries suffered in Kentucky’s loss at Tennessee last week.
Junior forward Oscar Tshiebwe continued his campaign for National Player of the Year, tallying a team-high 17 points and 16 rebounds, his 22nd double-double of the season.
Three Kentucky players joined Tshiebwe in double-figures. Bryce Hopkins, Davion Mintz, and Kellan Grady all added 13 points each.
