No. 16 Kentucky cruised to a 40-point win in the season opener Monday night at Rupp Arena, defeating New Mexico State 86-46 behind a strong second half.
After leading 37-29 at halftime, Kentucky outscored the Aggies 49-17 in the second half.
Rob Dillingham led the way offensively with 17 points off the bench, including 13 in the second half. Overall, five players reached double figures for Kentucky.
In addition to Dillingham, DJ Wagner (13), Justin Edwards (12), Reed Sheppard (12), and Antonio Reeves (11) all reached double figures.
