According David Pick, the New Orleans Pelicans have agreed to bring back Darius Miller for his second shot at the NBA.
After being drafted in the second round of the 2012 NBA Draft by the New Orleans Pelicans, Miller lasted two seasons in the NBA, before he was waived by New Orleans in November 2014.
Miller helped return the UK program to the promise land under John Calipari, and was named the 2011 SEC Tournament MVP. The following season, Miller was the glue guy that helped lead the Wildcats to the programs 8th NCAA Championship.
The details of the deal have yet to be released, but this is a great opportunity for Miller to live out his dream. Following his first round in the NBA, Miller spent the last two seasons in Germany playing professionally. During his time there, Miller averaged 10.9 ppg and shot 40% from three-point range, while leading his club to back-to-back championships.
Miller will join former UK teammates Demarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis, who are both members of the New Orleans Pelicans.
