Miami Heat Star Dwyane Wade Noticed Tyrese Maxey’s Kentucky Announcement Video
Session two of the Nike EYBL circuit in Atlanta had a lot to offer, including some of the NBA’s biggest stars from present to past. Russell Westbrook, Bradley Beal, and Dwyane Wade were in attendance for Friday and Saturday’s games.
While in Atlanta, Wade came across Tyrese Maxey, UK’s most recent commit for 2019. He was in attendance for the games but he never approached Maxey to talk to him. However, the three time NBA champion saw Maxey’s announcement video on Twitter, and he thought it was impressive.
Since Maxey’s video was published on May 9th it has received over 60,000 favorites and 19,000 retweets. One of those retweets came from Dwyane Wade, who said, “Now that’s an announcement.” You can see the tweet below.
I know Maxey has experienced some cool things throughout his high school career and AAU days. However, I say that tweet ranks near the top of the list.
