Six years ago today, Kentucky shocked undefeated Wichita State

With no Kentucky basketball victories to discuss this March, we will continue to reflect on some of the biggest March Madness victories in program history.

On this day six years ago, John Calipari’s Kentucky Wildcats ended Wichita State’s undefeated season in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Wildcats and Shockers played one of the best college basketball games ever played on Sunday, March 23, 2014.

After a roller coaster regular season, Kentucky entered the tournament as a No. 8 seed in the Midwest. A win vs. Kansas State in the first round set up the NCAA classic at Scottrade Center (now Enterprise Center) in St. Louis two days later.

Andrew and Aaron Harrison combined to score 39 points as the Wildcats upset No. 1 seed Wichita State, 78-76.
