Reed Sheppard Leads Kentucky in Steals and Blocked Shots

Reed Sheppard
UK Athletics

Reed Sheppard has been one of Kentucky’s most impactful players through three games this season.

The freshman guard from London, Kentucky, has been an instant momentum shifter early in the season for John Calipari, especially on the defensive end of the floor.

In Kentucky’s win vs. Texas A&M Commerce earlier this month, Sheppard ignited a Kentucky run with two steals when he entered the game. He was just as impactful in Kentucky’s close loss to No. 1 Kansas in Chicago this week.

It’s a small sample size, but Sheppard leads Kentucky in steals (9) and blocked shots (4) through four games.

Sheppard totaled four steals in 15 minutes of action vs. the Jayhawks Tuesday night. He also scored 15 points on 4-of-5 shooting, including 3-of-4 from three-point range.

Good things happen when Number 15 is on the floor.
