One Kentucky football legacy will continue this Friday when Paintsville High School senior, Tyler Couch signs as a preferred walk-on to Kentucky. He made the announcement via his Twitter account Wednesday evening.
Couch is the son of the late Joey Couch, who played for the Wildcats from 1988 to 1991. On December 15, 2017, Joey passed away due to an acute cardiac event.
Joey Couch was a legend at Paintsville High School, where he was an all-state linebacker in football and played alongside UK unforgettable John Pelphrey on the basketball court.
The younger Couch held an offer to Morehead but decided to follow in his father’s footsteps at Kentucky. On Friday, I have a feeling Joey will be looking down with a smile on his face, as Tyler signs to play at Kentucky.
