WATCH: UK Signee Tyler Herro Drops 43 Points

Kentucky basketball signee Tyler Herro has been one of the hottest high school players in the country this season and the nation is taking notice. The future Wildcat already dropped 40 points in one game this season but he decided once wasn’t enough.

Herro, a native a Wisconsin, was committed to the in-state Badgers before re-opening his recruitment in mid-October. That left the door open for head coach John Calipari, who offered Herro a scholarship after watching him workout at Whitnall High School. A few weeks later, Herro committed to the Wildcats and signed his letter of intent.

Getting that signature out of the way has allowed Herro to just focus on his senior season, which seems to be working. The future Wildcat has been a scoring machine, dropping his second 40-point game of the season on Tuesday night.

Earlier this season he scored 42 points to lead his Whitnall team to a victory and just last weekend, he knocked down a game-winning three-pointer with less than 10 seconds to play. That strong play continued on Tuesday, as he put on a show for the home fans, pouring in a game-high 43 points and 11 assists.

Herro flashed his smoothness and ability to score the ball from all areas of the floor. The four-star recruit will soon be a five-star if he continues to make things look so easy on the court.
