Like he has done so often this summer, Zach Logue entered a tightly contested game and walked away victorious. The Vancouver Canadian and former Kentucky Wildcat took the ball in the top of the fourth inning with the score knotted up at one run apiece and the rest was history.

Logue, a left-hander from Mason, OH., has been untouchable through the first ten games of his professional career, including last nights near perfect performance.

The former Wildcat tossed four scoreless innings, while only giving up one hit. During his short time in the minor leagues, Logue has struck out 29 opposing batters; with five of those coming in last nights win. Logue has stayed ahead in the count, hit his spots, and kept his walks to a total of six through 26 innings this summer.

During last nights win, Logue showed the ability to work out of trouble. Holding a 4-1 lead in the top of the 7th, Logue struck out the leadoff hitter before giving up his first hit of the night, a one-out double by Juan Camacho. Following a strikeout to record the second out of the inning, Ronald Rosario struck out swinging, but advanced to first base on wild pitch by Logue, which set up runners on the corners with 2-out. Logue then retired Ronald Rosario on fly ball to left field to end the inning, setting the final score at 4-1.

Through ten appearances, Logue owns a 4-1 record with a 1.04 ERA. Opponents are hitting a frigid .169 against the left-hander, who has a WHIP of 0.81, thanks to 15 hits and only 6 walks allowed in 26 innings pitched.
