The Univerity of Kentucky is changing its COVID-19 testing policy.

Kentucky Sports Radio reports UK will begin testing all athletes for COVID-19 with the first test coming this week.

When the UK football team arrived on campus in June, players had the antibody test to determine past infection. During the initial testing, six of the 106 student-athletes tested positive for past infection through antibody testing.

The basketball team decided to implement a different policy when players returned to campus on June 28. Kentucky basketball target Skyy Clark told KSR’s Jack Pilgrim that all basketball players are tested twice per week for COVID-19. The UK target learned the information on a Zoom call with John Calipari.

Now, all UK student-athletes will be tested regularly for the virus.
