In-State Star Travis Perry Commits to Kentucky

Travis Perry

Travis Perry is staying home and playing college basketball for the University of Kentucky, he announced Sunday afternoon.

The 6-foot-2, 170-pound guard is the all-time leading scorer in Kentucky high school basketball history, breaking the record during the Sweet 16 at Rupp Arena last season.

Perry chose the Wildcats over Alabama, Cincinnati, Ole Miss, and Western Kentucky.

“At the end of the day I decided to stay home and play for my home state school, Perry said Sunday. “Growing up I played for the West Kentucky Wildcats and now I’m excited to join the Kentucky Wildcats.”

Perry joins Boogie Fland and Somto Cyril in Kentucky’s 2024 class. Fland and Cyril signed with the program earlier this week.
