Barion Brown Joins Elite Company with Multiple Kick Return Touchdowns

Barion Brown
UK Athletics

Barion Brown called his shot and returned a kick for a touchdown in Kentucky’s 44-14 season-opening victory vs. Ball State at Kroger Field.

Brown took a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown in the second half, the second kick return touchdown of his career.

The sophomore speedster returned a kick for a touchdown in the season opener last season vs. Miami (Ohio), marking the first time in UK history that Kentucky has returned a kick for a touchdown in consecutive season openers.

The second kick return touchdown puts Brown in elite company in Kentucky football history. He is the fourth player in school history to record multiple career kickoff return touchdowns. Brown joins Derek Abney (2), Derrick Locke (2), and Craig Yeast (3).

Yeast set the UK record for kick return touchdowns in a career in three seasons (1996-1998).
