Monday was a huge day for the Kentucky men’s basketball program.
Ugonna Kingsley Onyenso, a four-star center in the 2022 class, announced his commitment to Kentucky.
Kingsley was a member of the 2023 class but reclassified to his original class of 2022 and will join the Wildcats this season.
The Kentucky commit chose the Wildcats over Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Tennessee.
Kingsley was previously a five-star prospect, ranked No. 21 in the 2023 247Sports rankings. After reclassifying, he is now No. 39 in the 2022 247Sports rankings
Kingsley is expected to sit out this season but still practice with the team and develop for the 2023-24 season.
